Phil Foden has shared what he loves about playing alongside Erling Haaland at Manchester City.
The duo are in the early weeks of their second season together at the Etihad Stadium after winning the treble at the end of the previous campaign.
Now though, Foden has opened up about what it’s like to play alongside the Norwegian and what he likes the most about it.

Speaking in a recent interview on Football Focus, Foden had this to say about Haaland and what he does on the pitch.
He said: “I love the way he is. I love how he always wants more from himself, he’s not just happy with the way he is, and he’s still so young it’s crazy.
“What he did last year, I don’t think we’ll ever see it again, unless he breaks his own record. He’s so demanding of himself, and if we can find him in those areas, we know he’s always going to be in the right position. He’s got this instinct for goal, it’s just a pleasure to play with someone who’s this good.”
The previous season saw Haaland score 52 goals in 53 appearances, 36 of which came in the 35 Premier League games he featured in.

Having scored six goals in four league outings this season, this all backs up what Foden said about the 23-year-old striker having an instinct when it comes to finding the back of the net.
In 45 appearances together for Pep Guardiola’s side, the duo have racked up seven joint goal participations, all of which came during the previous season.
With that in mind, it’s safe to say that Foden will hope that he can supply more assists for the prolific centre-forward this season, especially with Kevin De Bruyne out of action for a while.
Moving forward, if Haaland and Foden can keep playing together and delivering goal contributions for each other on a consistent basis, they’ll give City a great chance of regaining the titles they picked up last season.
