HARRY MAGUIRE has been hailed as “Scotland’s best striker” after scoring an own goal at Hampden Park.
The England defender was met with jeers every time he touched the ball after coming on for the Three Lions.

Maguire replaced Marc Guehi at half-time of their 3-1 win over Scotland on Tuesday.
However, he was immediately met with taunts from the crowd each time he got a touch of the ball.
His night then got even worse as he poked Andrew Robertson’s cross past Aaron Ramsdale and into his own net to let Scotland back into the game.
Reacting to the own goal, one fan tweeted: “Scotland has 0 shots on target. The power of Harry Maguire.”
Another added: “Harry Maguire has probably had more shots on the England goal than Scotland have.”
A third also joked: “Scotland’s best striker is Harry Maguire.”
Meanwhile, one more supporter commented: “A Harry Maguire own goal was inevitable.”
Fortunately for Maguire, Harry Kane restored England’s two-goal lead just 14 minutes later.
Maguire had caught the eye by keeping his place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for this month’s international matches.
The 30-year-old has played just 23 minutes for United so far this season and is yet to start a match for his club.
Despite his lack of game time, though, Maguire played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s clash with Ukraine, but was criticised for the goal England conceded.
