One of Sadio Mane’s former teammates was shocked by the way the player behaved at Liverpool.

The Senegal international Mane will always be remembered for his legendary status at Liverpool, despite the fact that his one-year stint at Bayern Munich was nothing short of terrible, defined by subpar performances and an off-field altercation with teammate Leroy Sane.

Mane won every title imaginable while residing in Merseyside, and his departure occurred during the Reds’ weakest campaign under Jurgen Klopp to date.

Koumetio remarked to the Liverpool Echo on his encounters with the Liverpool first team, saying, “Sadio is always the one who was there before everybody. He exerts a lot of effort.

I once arrived early, though not as early as Sadio, so I saw him working out in the gym. I thought, “Wow! He is already working out in the gym.

“People usually enter at this time to eat, but he is not doing so. He is present and engaged in gym work. ‘Wow’. He was performing sit-ups continuously. ‘Wow’.

“I promptly hurried to get changed and get something to eat. returned to the locker room before following him into the gym. He was still working there when the squad arrived 30-45 minutes after I had last seen him there. He was the last person to leave. ‘Wow.’”

While Mane’s work ethic was commendable, Koumetio said, the winger, now playing for Al Nassr, was always willing to offer guidance to those around him.

“Sometimes, he is the one who gives me advice on how to work and how to do things,” the young Liverpool player remarked. They are all examples to me, not just him.

“I observe how people conduct themselves. And it would say, “Billy!” if, for instance, I was to stand still for 10 or 1 minute. How are you doing that? Please move forward! Donate more, more, more!

“But Sadio is one who pushed me, and I can see his outlook and his influence. You saw him chatting to the other kids, as well as Divock and Hendo, talking to the kids from the academy, so it’s not just me.
