Mikel Arteta has brought Arsenal’s ‘swag’ back.
This is the view of former Gunner Philippe Senderos, who lavished praise on the Spaniard ahead of what could be a fruitful season for the north Londoners.

Arsenal are set to enter the new campaign as one of the favourites to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title.
It is an unbelievable jump from this time last year when hardly anyone fancied them to battle it out with the big boys.
While they ultimately failed in their aim, further boosts in the transfer window have made the Gunners serious contenders for the title.
Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice have all signed while David Raya is on the way and Senderos reckons the Arsenal of old are back.
Speaking to Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein on talkSPORT Drive, the ex-Switzerland defender said: “With the way that Mikel Arteta manages, you can see that the players do what he wants them to do.
“They have found that swag again, that type of Arsenal style that we want to see and we have seen that in the last year.
“There is a real culture that he has brought back to the club.
“When you go around the training ground, I have had a chance to go back, you can see pictures of what happened in the past, you can really see something is going on that creates a bond with the players.
“He is not only signing the best players, he is also creating an environment for them to perform. So, I think the Arsenal culture has come back and this is the foundation.

“Then you bring in the players, they buy into it and then hopefully you get the results.”
While this is Arteta’s first job as a manager, he landed silverware in the first six months of taking over with Arsenal lifting the FA Cup in the 2019/20 season.
He has been commended for his playing style while ousting wantaway stars and replacing them with hungry, young players.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have become first-team superstars while the signing of Martin Odegaard has proved a masterstroke.
And Senderos knows Arteta well, having spent time with him at Everton when he joined them on loan in 2010.
Even as a player, it became clear that the Spaniard was destined to become a manager.
Senderos added: “He was very vocal on the pitch. You could see him directing the guys on the pitch. He was like a relay of the coach on the field.
“You could see he had that, he would study the game, he would understand what was important, it was inside of him.”
