🐶🩺 Plot Summary
In a grim reinterpretation of classic cartoon archetypes, Doctor Goofy tells the tragic and terrifying story of Dr. Elias Gruff, a once-renowned veterinary surgeon played by Bill Skarsgård, who spirals into madness after the sudden death of his beloved dog, Max. Unable to grieve like a normal man, Elias begins experimenting — on himself.
Using experimental grafting, plastic reconstruction, and twisted surgical techniques, he transforms his own body into that of a “dog-man” hybrid… modeled after his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood idol: Goofy.
But the horror begins when two young women (played by Sophia Lillis and Storm Reid) seek shelter from a violent storm — only to find refuge inside a seemingly abandoned rural home. What they discover is no shelter… but a cage, built by a man who now only answers to “Good Boy.”
