Los Angeles, May 19, 2025 — The chains are rattling once again. Marvel Studios has unveiled the official first trailer for Ghost Rider 2 (2026), marking the explosive return of Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, the cursed antihero who rides the flaming motorcycle of damnation.

Over a decade after his last appearance, Cage reclaims his iconic role in a darker, more apocalyptic sequel that dives deeper into the supernatural side of the Marvel Universe. This time, Ghost Rider faces a threat not only from Hell — but from within himself.
The trailer opens with a raspy monologue from Cage: “I made a deal with the devil. And the devil always collects.” As the voice fades, the screen erupts into fire and chaos: a blazing skull revving through a city engulfed in demonic fury.
Set years after the events of the original films, Ghost Rider 2 finds Johnny Blaze in hiding, battling the spirit inside him that grows more uncontrollable each night. When a secret cult known as The Ashen Order seeks to merge the earthly and infernal realms, Blaze is forced to confront his curse head-on — or let the world burn.
The trailer shows intense action sequences, including a brutal battle in a collapsing cathedral, a chain-whip duel on a desert highway, and the Rider facing off against a towering demon known as Malbazar, voiced by Clancy Brown. There are even quick flashes of Marvel Easter eggs — a shadowy figure watching from the Sanctum Sanctorum, and whispers of Mephisto’s return.
Directed by Gareth Evans (The Raid), the film leans into R-rated territory with visceral action, heavy metal aesthetics, and a tragic hero tormented by his own power. The visual effects have been reimagined with modern flare: the Rider’s skull burns with molten detail, and his motorcycle leaves trails of ash and ember with every turn.
Cage, in a recent interview, said: “This isn’t just a sequel. It’s a reckoning. Ghost Rider has evolved — and so have I.”
The cast includes Anya Chalotra as a demon-hunting priestess and Bill Skarsgård as a fallen angel turned villain. Marvel insiders confirm the film will exist in a darker corner of the MCU, potentially tying into upcoming supernatural projects like Blade and Midnight Sons.
Ghost Rider 2 is set for a worldwide theatrical release on February 13, 2026, just in time to light up Valentine’s weekend — with hellfire.
