Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Official Trailer (2025) | A New Era of Magic Begins as Darkness Rises Again

London, May 19, 2025 — Warner Bros. has finally unveiled the official trailer for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” (2025), reigniting the magic of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world nearly two decades after the original film saga concluded. And this time, a new darkness stirs beneath the surface — as a mysterious boy and an older, haunted Harry Potter are thrust into a terrifying prophecy.

The trailer begins with flickering images of a cracked Ministry seal and a long-forgotten spellbook being opened in the dead of night. As whispers echo in Parseltongue, a voiceover — unmistakably that of Daniel Radcliffe, now portraying a weary, middle-aged Harry — solemnly says: “We thought the war was over. We were wrong.”

Set 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts, the story follows Harry’s youngest son, Albus Severus Potter, and a new, unknown boy named Corwin — an orphaned 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 with a shadowy past, uncanny magical powers, and a strange connection to both Voldemort and ancient forces sealed deep within the earth.

The trailer shocks fans with the reveal that a dark entity — calling itself the Lord Beneath — is rising from the cursed soil beneath the Forbidden Forest, threatening to awaken a realm of lost souls and forgotten magic. His followers whisper he is more ancient than Voldemort, and far less human.

Emma Watson and Rupert Grint reprise their roles as Hermione and Ron, alongside Radcliffe. They are joined by Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy, now a reluctant ally, and Jude Law, making a surprise return as an older Albus Dumbledore — appearing in a memory that warns: “Even light casts shadows. Some darker than death.”

The trailer also showcases the new young leads: Kit Connor as Albus Potter and Nico Parker as Corwin, hinting at a growing bond between the two boys — and a painful, magical divide.

Directed by David Yates, the film promises sweeping action, emotional reunions, and a darker tone that blends wizarding legacy with unsettling myth. Warner Bros. confirmed that the story is a “cinematic expansion” of the hit stage play, reimagined for the screen with fresh twists and darker stakes.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will premiere worldwide on November 14, 2025, and is expected to launch a brand-new trilogy exploring the next generation of wizards and the return of ancient evil.
