Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment dropped the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: The New Chapter (2025), reigniting the vampire vs. werewolf legacy with a fresh cast and an all-new storyline. Leading the new generation are Jenna Ortega and Timothée Chalamet, whose mysterious and intense on-screen chemistry has already sent shockwaves through the fanbase.
The trailer, which premiered during CinemaCon 2025, opens with haunting shots of Forks, Washington, now cloaked in eerie silence. A new voiceover says, “What was once myth… is now war.” Cue dramatic flashes of blood-red eyes, full moons, and ancient covens reawakening.
Jenna Ortega plays Lilah Swan, the daughter of Bella and Edward, now navigating her own supernatural identity — torn between vampire royalty and human emotion. Meanwhile, Chalamet takes on the enigmatic role of Rowan Blackthorn, a half-vampire, half-werewolf hybrid from a forgotten bloodline who threatens the fragile peace between clans.
According to director Catherine Hardwicke, who returns to the franchise after more than a decade, “This film explores legacy, rebellion, and the cost of forbidden love in a way we’ve never seen in the Twilight universe before.”
Also returning are franchise veterans Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, making brief but pivotal appearances as Edward and Bella, passing the torch to a new generation.
The film is expected to dive deeper into the origins of the Volturi, explore werewolf mythology beyond Jacob’s tribe, and introduce an underground vampire resistance based in Europe.
Fans were quick to react on social media, with the trailer already trending on X (formerly Twitter) under #TwilightNewChapter and #OrtegaChalametTwilight. One fan wrote, “I never thought I’d be excited for another Twilight movie — but this feels like Harry Potter meets Blade with a touch of euphoria.”
The Twilight Saga: The New Chapter hits theaters worldwide on November 14, 2025. Are you ready to choose your side once again?
