In a shocking act of violence that left a community reeling, a 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the brutal double homicide of his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend in Kentucky. Christopher Tolby is accused of gunning down 20-year-old Dixie Brainard before savagely beating her new partner, 24-year-old Charles Callaway, with a baseball bat. Disturbingly, the couple’s four-month-old 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 was left unharmed at the scene, now tragically orphaned.

The horrific incident unfolded early on April 3, when police received a 911 call reporting two bodies at a Bourbon County residence. Upon arrival, officers found Brainard dead in a pickup truck, shot execution-style in the head, while Callaway was discovered in a nearby field, brutally stabbed and beaten. Investigators uncovered a chilling narrative after Tolby’s father arrived at the scene and provided vital information, leading authorities to link his son to the crime.

Tolby was found later that day, bloodied and nɑƙeɗ in a damaged vehicle, where he allegedly confessed to the murders, recounting the grisly details calmly. Eyewitnesses reported seeing him return to the crime scene with another individual, where he continued the assault on Callaway, striking him repeatedly with the bat, who was still alive at the time.
