Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has finally addressed the growing speculation surrounding his future after reports emerged that Liverpool have joined the race to sign him for €74 million.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Liverpool are targeting Osimhen as a potential replacement for Darwin Núñez, who is expected to leave Anfield this summer. The Nigerian forward, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in sensational form, scoring 20 goals in 22 Super Lig matches. His performances have reignited interest from top clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Speaking about Liverpool’s reported offer, Osimhen said: “I am aware of the interest from big clubs, but right now, my focus is on finishing the season strong. The future? We will see in the summer.”
Osimhen’s response suggests that while he is open to a move, he remains committed to his current club for now. With Mohamed Salah’s contract also expiring soon, Liverpool are determined to reinforce their attack, and Osimhen could be the ideal signing for incoming manager Arne Slot.
As the summer transfer window approaches, the battle for Osimhen’s signature is heating up, and Liverpool will have to fend off competition from Premier League rivals to secure the prolific striker.
