Lewis Hamilton reacts to FIA’s controversial decision after Australian GP

The FIA has officially decided not to penalize Lewis Hamilton after investigating his actions during the Australian Grand Prix. However, the seven-time world champion has now spoken out, expressing his frustration with the process.

Hamilton, who finished P10 in his Ferrari debut, was among the drivers scrutinized for failing to maintain the required 10-car-length distance behind the safety car. Despite the breach, the FIA ultimately ruled that no penalties would be issued due to the challenging wet conditions and the fact that drivers restored the correct gap before the restart.

Speaking about the decision, Hamilton did not hold back. “It was obvious from the start,” he said. “The conditions were terrible, and we were all doing our best to manage. If they had given penalties, it would have been ridiculous.”

The British driver also highlighted the inconsistency in FIA rulings, adding, “One race, they’re strict; the next, they let things slide. We just need clear and fair rules for everyone.”

Despite his disappointment with the FIA’s handling of the situation, Hamilton remains focused on improving Ferrari’s performance as the season progresses.
