Created by Noah Hawley, known for Fargo and Legion, Alien: Earth is set in 2120, just two years before the events of Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic Alien. The trailer showcases a mysterious space vessel, the USCSS Maginot, crash-landing on Earth, unleashing chaos as a young woman (played by Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of soldiers confront the planet’s greatest threat. The footage teases heart-pounding moments, including a Xenomorph’s menacing presence and the eerie atmosphere of a world on the brink of destruction.
The trailer highlights the star-studded cast, featuring Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, a synthetic mentor, alongside Chandler’s Wendy, a meta-human with the body of an adult and the mind of a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥. Other notable actors, including Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, and Samuel Blenkin, add depth to this gripping narrative. The visuals, paired with a haunting score, amplify the horror and action that FX chairman John Landgraf described as “a blend of the timeless terror of Alien and the relentless action of Aliens.”
Fans have already taken to social media to express their excitement, with many praising the trailer’s dark, atmospheric tone and the promise of seeing a Xenomorph roam Earth’s wilds. Hawley’s unique take on the franchise, which explores the origins of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation and the race to develop android life, is set to redefine the Alien saga for a new generation.
Alien: Earth will debut exclusively on Hulu in the United States this summer, with international viewers able to stream it via Disney+ on the Star platform. While an exact release date remains under wraps, this final trailer has cemented the series as one of 2025’s most anticipated television events. Prepare to lock your doors—Earth’s nightmare is about to begin.
