The power of Grayskull is coming to the big screen in a monumental way. Hollywood powerhouse Chris Hemsworth has officially been cast as He-Man in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe. Produced by Netflix and Mattel Films, this project promises to deliver a fresh, high-octane take on the beloved 1980s franchise. The film is set to begin production in 2025, with a release tentatively scheduled for July 17, 2026.

The live-action Masters of the Universe will bring to life the mythical world of Eternia, a land of magic, advanced technology, and epic battles. The story follows Prince Adam, a young royal who transforms into the mighty He-Man to defend his kingdom from the sinister forces of Skeletor.

Since its debut in 1983, Masters of the Universe has captivated audiences with its blend of heroism and adventure. With this live-action adaptation, Netflix aims to reintroduce He-Man and his world to a new generation while honoring the franchise’s iconic legacy.
