Kate Beckinsale fans didn’t know whether to be more impressed by her striking pink Christmas tree or her incredible balance as she showcased both in a new Instagram post.
The quirky actress, 51, gave the world a closer glimpse at her standout holiday decorations on Thursday, but she performed a dangerous stunt in the process.
In a video shared to her Instagram, she was seen standing on a ladder in towering platform boots as she placed the final ornaments on her eye-popping tree.
At one point, the fearless Underworld star lifted one of her legs up so that she was balancing on one foot.
All the while, she held her beloved cat, Willow, in her arms, whose fur was dyed pink for the occasion.
Kate teamed her punk-rock footwear with high-waisted shorts, a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 pink cardigan, white lace tights, and her signature black bow headband.
A second video showcased some of the ornaments that could be found on the tree, which included cats, a telephone, pictures of family members, and a toilet.
She explained that the somewhat chaotic creation had items to represent ‘everyone she loved.’
Opening up about the dazzling pink tree, the Serendipity star explained in her caption: ‘Everyone I love is represented on my tree.’
Kate gave a special shoutout to her daughter, Lily Mo Sheen’s new feline.
‘[Included is] my daughter’s insane, elderly adopted cat that she inherited from someone who died in her apartment building and whose family did not want him, and with whom she is now in a full-blown Clive level level affair [with]… welcome to the family, Cat.’
Lily, whom Kate shares with her ex Michael Sheen, seemed to appreciate the shoutout, commenting: ‘Oh my god, Cat representation. My orange crazy.’
However most fans were far more distracted by the unique tree – which was complete with pink snow – as one commented: ‘The tree looks like Liberace and Elton are having a fight in a glitter and feather factory!’
Another added: ‘I think the details on the tree are lovely. And it’s also wonderful that your daughter took care of a cat that nobody wanted.’
‘This is one of the best trees I’ve ever seen! I love it,’ a third wrote.
However, some were left baffled by the voluminous nature of the decorations, as one asked: ‘Love all of you, but is there a tree under there?’
Elsewhere, other fans marveled at the fact the star managed not to topple over while balancing on one foot in her heels.
‘Good gods you are a brave woman! Balancing on one boot on the top of the ladder,’ one fan noted. ‘I could only wish I was that cool… or crazy (in the best way).
Another commented: ‘Beautiful tree. Also, your balance! I’d fall over. Mad s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s.’
A different fan wrote: ‘Playing in my head over and over: “You tryna break your neck?”… But the finished tree is stunning. And I love the pink snow!’
Earlier in the week, Kate showcased her impressive flexibility as she practiced yoga with her pink-dyed cat.
The actress was seen lying on the floor face down before reaching her arms behind to grab her feet to perform the bow pose.
A friend stood over Kate and lifted her into the air as she did the stretch with Willow sitting on her back.
The star showed off her figure in a pair of black, lacy cycling shorts, which she teamed with a pink tank top.
The actress later performed a handstand in the middle of her lounge floor while her friend helped her get into position.
Last year, the famous cat lover got a touching tattoo tribute of her beloved cat Clive following his passing.
Kate showed off the incredible fine line artwork by LA-based tattooist, Dr Woo.
Clive’s adorable face could be seen on her forearm, surrounded by an intricate star design.
Alongside the photos, Kate wrote: ‘This has really helped. Thank you so much, @_dr_woo_’.
