General Hospital spoilers reveal Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) has only been back at the GH lab for a few weeks, but he’s found himself quite comfortable there ever since discovering Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) tampered with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) lab results to try to keep her in prison.
Portia more or less agreed to cosign Brad’s behavior and treat him as an exemplary employee as long as he stays silent about the dirt he unearthed on her.
That was the unspoken agreement. Now, Brad is back to ask for more — security for Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) as the truth comes out that he was responsible for Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death.
General Hospital Spoilers — Portia Robinson Is A Pest
Portia just couldn’t keep her mouth shut about all of Brad’s flaws and the likelihood that he would not be able to stick it out as an employee at GH.
She resented Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) for giving Brad a boost in getting him rehired and sought to make it her personal mission to see to it that he was going to be on his way out soon.
Brad stumbled upon Portia’s dirty little secret — that she changed Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) lab results so she wouldn’t be able to make her case to get out of prison — and the rest is history. Portia being a pest is no more.
GH Spoilers – Hint Brad Cooper Holds The Keys To Lucas Jones’ Future
Brad will be first in line to receive news of the autopsy report when it comes in, and he’s confident that he will find Lucas had nothing to do with why Sam died. So when it turns out that he did mess up and could have been the cause of his sister’s death, Brad will likely panic.
He knows that if Lucas is fired, he won’t have access to him anymore like he does now. Coming across one another at work is the only path Brad might have to forge a reunion between them.
Moreso, if he can finesse this situation into one that is more favorable for himself reaching that goal, we know he will. But does that mean having Portia over a barrel and forcing her to back off of Lucas and find another excuse for Sam’s death?
General Hospital Spoilers — Is It Just Obligation?
What remains to be seen is whether or not Brad will be bold enough to tell Lucas what he has negotiated with Portia on his behalf? We’re thinking he won’t, because then he would have to tell him how he has leverage over Portia.
That’s a rather sticky situation, and Brad knows it wouldn’t reflect on himself well to admit he’s blackmailing the boss. Besides, he doesn’t want to break Lucas’ heart and tell him the truth — that he could have caused his sister’s death.
