Set ten years after the end of previous first two films, Josh Lambert (Patrick Wilson) heads east to drop his son Dalton (Ty Simpkins) off at an idyllic, ivy-covered university. However, Daltonβs college dream becomes a nightmare when the repressed demons of his past suddenly return to haunt them both.
Insidious: Red Door is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Patrick Wilson in his directorial debut, with a screenplay by Scott Teems from a story by series creator Leigh Whannell. The film is a direct sequel to Insidious (2010) and Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), and serves as both the fifth installment in the Insidious franchise and the fifth installment in terms of chronology. Wilson, Ty Simpkins and Rose Byrne reprise their roles from the films.
