During Thursday’s Kings-Canucks matchup, the Kings’ Tanner Jeannot delivered a hit to the head that took out Brock Boeser as he released a pass near center ice. The hit seemed to be reckless and dangerous, as Boeser fell to the ice and required assistance from the team trainer.
As a result of his actions, Jeannot received a 15-minute match penalty for the illegal check. The play will automatically be reviewed by NHL Player Safety.
