In October 2022, it was announced that a sequel to The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It was in development, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick set to write the script and James Wan and Peter Safran returning as producers. Wan later confirmed that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga would reprise their roles as the Warrens.
At CinemaCon in April 2023, the film’s title was revealed, and by September 2023, director Michael Chaves hinted that the script was being refined to serve as a “finale” to the main Conjuring storyline.The Conjuring: Last Rites is slated for release on SEPTEMBER 5, 2025 in THEATERS marking the conclusion of the beloved horror franchise.
