The Los Angeles Lakers are constantly looking for ways to improve their roster, and general manager Rob Pelinka has proved he’s not afraid to pull the trigger on a blockbuster deal. The Lakers’ lack of success recently could push Pelinka to start making moves that benefit the team in the future rather than right now.

“Golden State Warriors acquire LeBron James from the Lakers for Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Kevon Looney, 2026 first-round pick, 2028 first-round pick, and 2030 first-round pick,” Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes suggested. James has managed to play alongside some of the best players in the league throughout his historic career. Names like Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and Anthony Davis immediately come to mind. However, there’s one player the superstar has yet to team up with on an NBA court, and that’s Steph Curry.

The two superstars have teamed up on Team USA and during the NBA’s All-Star weekend, but they’ve never suited up for the same team aside from that. Although this trade scenario is unlikely, if the Warriors were able to land the forward, Golden State would have one of the most feared duos in the league. Despite the fun trade idea, the fact of the matter is that James is 39 years old and the 36-year-old Curry isn’t far behind. It would be a very bold move for Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. to make, but considering how aggressive the team was throughout the offseason, it’s clear the GM wants to win. Nonetheless, the duo of the future Hall of Famers would be a nightmare for opposing teams if it were to happen.
