The magical world of Descendants is about to see new enemies and allies. Since 2015, the immensely popular franchise has continued the legacy of beloved Disney fairy tales, with each film following the lives of the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren of Disney’s greatest villains. Over the course of the three films, the franchise also launched the careers of stars such as Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart and the late Cameron Boyce. This time featuring another fantastical reimagining of classic tales, the fourth film in the series, Descendants: The Rise of Red, will feature the opposing descendants of the Queen of Hearts and Cinderella. Now, Disney has released a teaser for the upcoming film, showing Kylie Cantrall as Red and Malia Baker as Chloe.

The Rise of Red features two key characters: Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe, the daughter of Cinderella and King Blue. It reveals that Red, played by Kylie Cantrall, is the new Villain Kid (VK) at Auradon Prep. She teams up with Chloe, played by Malia Baker, to travel back in time and prevent a coup against Auradon incited by Red’s mother, the tyrannical Queen of Hearts, played by Rita Ora. The trailer offers a glimpse of her first meeting and sets the stage for her to travel back in time to change a disturbing event from the past.
