Tiger Woods and His Future Remain In Question as PGA TOUR Days are Numbered

Tiger Woods is still every bit of the competitor he was twenty years ago. Perhaps that is why he still shows up to play Major Championships, hinting during pre-tournament press conferences that he thinks he has a chance to win.

However, he won’t be able to keep this pace forever, no matter what. There is an option, though.

After his PGA TOUR days are over and he’s finally graduated from the ranks of the young guns, which we know could be in the next few years based on his reaction walking up the 18th fairway at St. Andrews a couple of years ago, he can still play.

In fact, the PGA TOUR Champions is already planning for Woods’s arrival. Although Steve Stricker has pushed in the past for Tiger to make the jump, he’s responded with, “No, I’m not ready.”

But that doesn’t mean he won’t ever be.

A new report from The Mirror discussed recent statements made by Padraig Harrington, who believes Tiger has some real goals on the Senior Tour, including a career grand slam.

Harrington knows he still has that competitive spirit living within:

“He’d love to win that Grand Slam and get some of the other senior majors on his CV…I saw him at the course (during the PNC Championship in December), and we were just crossing paths, and he laughed at me. I won’t say exactly what he said but the gist of it was he can’t wait to get out and beat me.”

Woods is dealing with so many injuries from his playing days that it is obvious that the competitive weeks and the long preparations for Majors do not leave him with much left to give.
