“I think that we’re being studied…” Oh yes this looks super creepy. A24 has unveiled the first official trailer for a horror movie called Heretic, the latest creation from the filmmaker duo known as Beck/Woods (also of Her Summer, Spread, Nightlight, Haunt, and the dino movie 65). Officially they are Scott Beck & Bryan Woods. A24 has this set to open in November this fall. When two Mormon missionaries attempt to convert a man, it turns out to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated, as he traps them in a maze of some kind. Heretic stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, and Chloe East – that’s it. Another unsettling, small scale, small budget, small cast, chilling horror movie that could just go on to be a big hit in theaters. I really dig the title reveal at the end. I’m sold! I’ve got to watch this and find out what’s going on in his house.
