Neve Campbell is set to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in the upcoming “Scream 7.”
The news was shared by Campbell herself, who posted the script’s title page on Instagram last Tuesday (March 12)
As of now, no further casting details for “Scream 7” have been disclosed. It’s been noted, however, that Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who played leading roles as Sam and Tara Carpenter in “Scream 5” and “Scream 6,” will not be making a comeback.
The buzz around “Scream 7” suggests that the film will serve as another reboot for the series. There’s also word that Patrick Dempsey, known for his role as Sidney’s husband Mark Kincaid, is among the actors the production is keen on bringing aboard, alongside Courteney Cox.
Kevin Williamson, celebrated for penning “Scream,” “Scream 2,” and “Scream 4,” is set to return, this time as the director for “Scream 7.”
