Watch: Brenden Dillon gushes out blood from a deep cut in his hand after late brawl in Avs vs Jets
Winnipeg Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon sustained an apparent deep cut on his hand that was gushing blood, possibly from a skate blade, during a late brawl in Game 3 of the Jets-Avs series on Friday.
It was quite a dramatic moment following the final buzzer in Game 3 between the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche. The chaos on the ice led to several skirmishes, and during one of these, Dillon found himself tussling with the Avs’ winger Brandon Duhaime.
During the scuffle between Brenden Dillon and Duhaime, things got scary, with blood dripping on the ice as a result of their altercation.

The linesman tried to intervene, get Dillon to disengage, and leave the ice to calm things down. The Jets defenseman was rushed off the ice with a scary hand injury and a lot of bleeding after the final buzzer.
Jets HC Rick Bowness said that following the game, the team is still evaluating Brenden Dillon’s condition:
“Rick Bowness did not have an update on this post-game…said Dillon was still being examined, ” Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman wrote on X.
The Colorado Avalanche beat the Winnipeg Jets, 6-2 in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven-game Round 1 playoffs series. Game 4 takes place on Sunday at Ball Arena in Denver.
