Boston Celtics Make 2 Roster Moves After Wizards Game

The Boston Celtics have assigned two players to the G League.

On Sunday afternoon, the Boston Celtics defeated the Washington Wizards (at home) by a score of 132-122.

Payton Pritchard led the way with 38 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists while shooting 15/21 from the field and 4/6 from the three-point range in 44 minutes of playing time.

The victory concluded the 2023-24 regular season for the Celtics, and they finished with a 64-18 record, which has them as the first seed in the Eastern Conference (and the best team in the NBA).

On Monday, the team announced that they had made two roster moves by assigning Jordan Walsh and Neemias Queta to the Maine Celtics (G League).

Meanwhile, Queta is in his first season with Boston after spending the last two years playing for the Sacramento Kings.

He finished the regular season with averages of 5.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 64.4% from the field in 28 games.

The Celtics have made the Eastern Conference Finals five times over the previous seven seasons and reached the NBA Finals in 2022.

However, the franchise has been unable to win a title since the 2008 season when Paul Pierce was still on the roster.
