There are many reports that Kylian Mbappe is captivated by a move to Liverpool next summer, despite Real Madrid leading the race to recruit this young French talent.

According to L’Equipe, Mbappe is weighing his options, and Liverpool are also on the list of clubs he considers, when he becomes a free agent at the end of this season.

Previously, Liverpool were rumored to want to sign Mbappe this summer, while PSG also sought to sell Mbappe for a high transfer fee due to his refusal to sign a new contract beyond 2024.

In fact, Real Madrid has been pursuing Mbappe for the past two years but has not been able to complete the deal. They once made offers but were rejected in 2021, while their hopes of recruiting him for free in 2022 collapsed when the striker continued to “turn around” to sign a new contract with PSG.

Journalist Edu Aguirre of El Chiringuito TV said Liverpool sent an offer worth 300 million euros to Mbappe earlier this summer, but this information had no paperwork as evidence. Maybe it comes from Liverpool looking for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, when the Egyptian player is Al Ittihad’s top target.

The big club in the Saudi Pro League is ready to make a big move and set a figure for a £215 million deal to recruit striker Salah. However, Saudi Arabia’s rich man has not yet been able to receive the nod from Liverpool’s leadership at the same time that Coach Klopp affirmed that Salah is not for sale.

Assuming Salah leaves, former France international Djibril Cisse said Liverpool is an ideal choice for Kylian Mbappe to master the attack. Cisse humorously added that the French junior striker should join the club that Mbappe’s agent and mother supports, then joked that M10 should be a good son and listen to his mother.

“The best player in the world today – Kylian Mbappe – I want to see him at Liverpool. I think Mbappe was created for English football” – Cisse shared – “I know he loves Real Madrid and having been associated with them, I also really want to go there.

But to see Mbappe at Anfield, where he will cause so much excitement in the Premier League. And I think Mbappe’s mother loves Liverpool very much. As a good son, Mbappe must listen to his mother!”.

Former France international Marcel Desailly shared similar sentiments and said that Liverpool are the best team for Mbappe, as he told Boylesports: “Liverpool is not at the end of an era, unlike Chelsea. The choice which Mbappe has to fulfill not just in 1 or 2 years but in 4 or 5. So when sources talk about loaning Mbappe for a year, I don’t see it that way.

Remember, Liverpool have not sold many of their players and still maintain a foundation at Anfield. They also had a period of decline after many years of good performance, when they sold Sadio Mane. Therefore, Liverpool really needs to replace Mane with an excellent person like him, a striker with similar football philosophy and impact. I believe that Liverpool will be suitable for Mbappe to fill that gap.”

Mbappe is yet to make a decision on his future but has said he is not signing a new contract at PSG. This means that the French player can contact a new club in the first month of 2024, six months before the contract ends.
