Eduardo Camavinga, his midfield partner, celebrated winning a new Real Madrid contract, prompting Jude Bellingham to refer to him as a “part-time maths teacher”.
After winning six trophies with Real Madrid in his first two seasons, Camavinga extended his stay there with a new deal on Tuesday that will keep him there until 2029. The France international has been nominated twice for the Golden Boy award and twice for the Kopa Trophy, Real Madrid noted in their press release announcing the transaction.
Bellingham cited a celebratory selfie that Camavinga shared on Instagram in his own Instagram Story. Bellingham stated that Camavinga is a “part-time maths teacher” after he informed his midfield partner in his initial post that the Frenchman will be footing the bill for their next meal, most likely as a result of his decision to dress in a suit.
Camavinga has demonstrated his versatility this season by playing both central midfield and left back. Bellingham has praised his teammate as a “world-class player” with fondness while simultaneously making fun of the celebrity’s sense of style.
In the Champions League, Bellingham and Camavinga are expected to play when Real Madrid takes on Braga midweek.
Eduardo Camavinga’s Real Madrid contract has been extended till 2029.
August 2021 saw the midfielder join the team; he just finished fourth in the Kopa Trophy vote.
He has now established himself as a reliable member of their midfield and has already led them to Champions League and La Liga victories.
According to The Athletic, his new contract has an £870 million release clause in addition to an increased pay.
It follows the signing of long-term extensions by Eder Militao, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jr. last week, all of whom reportedly included a comparable buyout clause.
