The Reds’ forward had missed their last two matches against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth amid the ongoing situation.
His father Luis Manuel Diaz was kidnapped at gunpoint on Saturday night in Barrancas alongside the Liverpool forward’s mother, Cilenis Marulanda, who was rescued earlier this week.
But according to Colombian news outlet Semana, his father could be released in the next few hours.
It emerged on Thursday that guerrilla terror group called ELN, were reportedly responsible for their abduction, with the leader of the Colombian government’s Peace Delegation Otty Patino releasing a statement on the situation.

‘Today we have had official knowledge that the kidnapping was perpetrated by a unit belonging to the ELN.
‘To the ELN, we demand the immediate release of Mr Luis Manuel Diaz and we remind them that it is their responsibility to guarantee his life and integrity.
‘We remind the ELN that kidnapping is a criminal practice, in violation of International Humanitarian Law.’
But on Friday, a representative from ELN, Juan Carlos Carlos Cuellar, said to a community group that his father would be ‘released as soon as possible’.
Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, also admitted during a press conference ahead of their match against Luton that the Liverpool winger had been in training for the past two days, with Diaz being pictured for the first time on Friday, training at the AXA Training Centre.
The 26-year-old was seen participating in a series of drills while also being spotted playing next to team-mate Alexis Mac Allister.

Klopp also insisted that it will be the winger’s decision as to whether he would be available to play in his side’s Premier League meeting with Luton on Sunday.
Amid the ongoing situation, Klopp added that the latest news from Colombia ‘gave some hope’ on the situation.
‘He was in training two days ago. Yesterday he had a session and will be part of the team (training),’ said Klopp.
His manager added that the decision on whether he would play in Sunday’s game against Luton would be down to Diaz
‘We must wait. If he feels right, he will be here and train with us. The session he had with us you can see when he is with the boys he is fine, he is OK.
‘But you could see he didn’t sleep a lot. We have to see how he is and we go from there.
‘The news from Colombia gives us a little bit of hope. We are waiting for the really good news but that’s it pretty much.
‘I cannot say what we will do because we just wait where we can pick up the boy from and go from there. But it’s all about him, if he makes himself available or not, and I will not force anything.’
