Ajax are in the relegation zone in Holland and want to raid United
ERIK TEN HAG could reportedly lose his assistant Mitchell van der Gaag to Ajax as the Dutch side want him as manager.
Ajax put boss Maurice Steijn out of his misery on Monday after a disastrous start to the season saw the Dutch giants stuck in the relegation zone.

Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been brought in as a consultant.
And the Dutchman wants to hire Van der Gaag as Steijn’s replacement, according to the Daily Mail.
However Ajax could struggle to lure him back to Holland due to his importance to Ten Hag.
The pair enjoyed a trophy-laden spell together while Ten Hag was in charge in Amsterdam.
Ten Hag even promoted the 52-year-old from Under-21s boss to assistant manager.
It is understood Van der Gaag would have to push to leave, and that scenario is thought unlikely.
Ten Hag and Van der Gaag won the Eredivisie with Ajax in 2022 before turning around United’s fortunes to win the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils also got back into the Champions League under their stewardship but this season has not got off to a good start.
Despite beating Sheffield United at the weekend, a supercomputer has tipped the Red Devils for their worst finish in 34 years.
United have also lost two out of two Champions League games so will be aiming to turn around their fortunes in that competition when they play Copenhagen.
