Three Arsenal and three Man City players included in world’s most valuable XI

The most valuable XI in world football has been revealed and Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester City dominate the list.

The Gunners matched Pep Guardiola’s side for the most part of last season and the pair have continued their domestic rivalry into the new campaign.

Arsenal got the better of City at the Emirates last time out in the league, as they went joint-top of the table with north London rivals Tottenham.

And Mikel Arteta’s side’s form has seen a few player’s transfer value skyrocket, with three players making the most valuable XI, according to Transfermarkt.

French centre-back William Saliba lines up in defence with a transfer value of €70 million – a €5m increase since the latest update.

Summer signing Declan Rice is also included, with the Englishman worth €100m, €10m more after the latest update. Bukayo Saka also makes the list, with a total value of €120m.

City also have three players on the list after winning a historic treble last term.

Ballon d’or contender Erling Haaland (€180m) unsurprisingly leads the line, with the joint-highest transfer value alongside Kylian Mbappe.

While defensive duo Ruben Dias (€80m) and Josko Gvardiol (€80m) join Saliba at the back.

Real Madrid also have a strong presence, with Thibaut Courtois (€45m), Vincius Jr (€150m) and Jude Bellingham (€150m) also included.

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala (€110m) and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe (€150m) complete the XI.

Indeed, it is no surprise that the lineup includes so many Arsenal and Manchester City players when considering both teams’ respective team values.

Transfermarkt claim that City’s team value is €1.26 billion, with Arsenal’s worth €1.10bn.
