A West Ham youngster has agreed to join another English club
Football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed news of a huge transfer update which involves the departure of a West Ham prospect.
The Hammers return to European action tonight when they host Backa Topola in their Europa League opener and they are desperate to build on their Conference League success last term.
The early stages of the Europa League are often seen as an opportunity for club’s to bring along youngsters for vital experience but one player who will not be involved is England U17 midfielder Destiny Mukasa who has completed a move to join a Premier League rival.
Mukasa is a talented 16-year-old midfielder who operates just behind the striker in a central role. He flourished in a young Hammers team which won the U18 Premier League South with an impressive 19 wins from 22 matches.
Mukasa has been without a club for 10 weeks and he has been a target for a number of clubs in this time including Newcastle and Rangers
Earlier this week NewcastleWorld broke news that Mukasa had been invited on a trip to Tyneside which included a tour of St. James’ Park and their training facilities.
However, the youngster has opted to take his career in a different path and transfer guru Romano claims that Man City have won the race for the England U17 midfielder.
Romano tweeted on Wednesday 20 September: “Manchester City poised to sign talented England U17 midfielder Divine Mukasda from West Ham – here we go, confirmed.
“Long term deal agreed- to be formally sealed in next 48hr. City keep going for best talents as their Academy remains crucial part of the club’s project.”
