He waited 10 years and now it looks like Cody Simpson’s patience has rewarded him in love.

The 22-year-old singer has revealed that he is “really very happy” with his relationship with Miley Cyrus – a woman he had a crush on since the age of 12.

The pair remained only friends for a decade as she was in an on-again-off-again relationship with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, who later became her husband.

But after their separation, after only six months of marital bliss, they are finally back together.

Miley briefly dated Caitlin Carter before breaking up with Cody.

A new video from 2012 proved that teen sensation Cody has always had feelings for the Hannah Montana star.

Cody was at the star-studded launch of the Tiffany & Co. line. Maines in Los Angeles on Friday, when he told People, “The reason it didn’t suddenly become some crazy thing is because we’ve been friends for so long.”

So much is his affection for Miley that he plans to release a song he wrote for her while she was hospitalized with tonsillitis.
