Future Real Madrid star Endrick talks Ancelotti, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Haaland

Buoyed by the success of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Federico Valverde, Endrick became Real Madrid’s latest investment in South American football, when he agreed to join the club in 2024.

Endrick is currently plying his trade with Palmeiras, but he will move to the Bernabeu once he turns 18 next year.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports (h/t AS), Endrick talked about his move to Real Madrid and how he is mentally dealing with the pressure.

The striker revealed that he had a chance to meet with Vinicius and Rodrygo and they have imparted advice ahead of his move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

“When they came on holiday to Brazil we were able to talk, yes, Vini explained to me how things are there…..”

“When they tell me what Madrid is like, I imagine myself already there… I try not to think about it too much so as not to be anxious,” he said.

Endrick further revealed that he keeps in touch with Carlo Ancelotti. “I was able to talk to him when I was in Madrid, at Ronaldo’s house, and I thank the professor for all the advice he gave me,” he added.

The forward said he is focusing solely on football, stating, “I hate clubs, I hate partying, I prefer to go out to restaurants with my family, I don’t even like knowing what I earn, I just want to play soccer.”

Endrick has found game-time hard to come by at Endrick this season, and has managed to score four league goals from 16 games.

Despite that, his vast potential and talents have led to suggestions that he could even be a part of the Brazilian World Cup team in 2026. The youngster, though, is not very bothered about it for now.

“I thank God for this responsibility that I have. It is true that there is a lot of talk about me, about 2026 but I don’t listen to those talks,” he said.

The attacker further insinuated that he had become calmer than last year. “Now I am calmer, with my family, and only focused on doing well with Palmeiras and reaching Madrid, I want to give joy to their fans, I am one of them, I have never hidden it,” he added.

Speaking of Real Madrid, Endrick hailed some of his future teammates, labelling them as the next set of stars in football.

“The new examples are Vinicius, Rodrygo, Haaland, and Bellingham,” he said. “It is a new generation that is going to bring a lot of joy and do spectacular things on the field.”

Endrick is certainly going to join the pool of talents making an impact in world football in the years to come. But when asked whether or not the forward can replace Karim Benzema, the player remained coy.

“I know I’m going to wear a heavy shirt. If I start with one number or another, I will work the same. Vini started with 28, then 25, 20, and now 7, which is a huge responsibility,” he said.

The Palmeiras starlet also talked about the possibility of playing alongside Kylian Mbappe. He enjoys the idea of sharing the same dressing room as the Frenchman, though it remains to be seen whether he joins Real Madrid next summer.
