The Young and the Restless star Zuleyka Silver says Audra is a fighter
In the capable hands of Zuleyka Silver, The Young and the Restless character of Audra Charles is a firecracker! Sally recently suggested to her pal that she make nice with Kyle, but instead, Audra gave the Abbott heir a piece of her mind as only Audra can! That’s just one of the many reasons Silver is so watchable as the unpredictable Audra!
The Young and the Restless “A” is for Audra
“She’s a lot of fun to play,” Zuleyka recently told Soap Opera Digest on the occasion of her third anniversary in Genoa City. The actress believes that Audra has trauma in her life, and is, as a result, a little damaged, but that’s why she loves her. She believes that her TV alter ego is a survivor, a fighter, and she is someone who does not quit. Audra is, simply put, fascinating!
While some see Audra as calculating and cold, those who’ve witnessed her kindness to Amy (Valarie Pettiford) would say just the opposite. In fact, her concern for Amy has only grown since her son, Damian (Jermaine Rivers), was 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed in France.
Zuleyka can relate to actors who say that time seems to both stand still and fly by when they work on a soap opera. As the years have passed, she has seen her character evolve. Audra has a bit of unpredictability. She can go from a loving person to a selfish plotter. The role keeps her on her toes as an actress. She never knows what her character is going to do next.
The big Victor-ies on The Young and the Restless

Audra may have failed in her scheme to seduce Kyle in France, which would have earned her full funding from Victor for Vibrante, her cosmetics company, had she achieved it. Alas, Kyle (Michael Mealor) was one step ahead of Audra and played along with her just enough so that she’d slip up and show her true colors.
Victor commended Audra on her ability to spin defeat into victory, but he wasn’t impressed enough to keep giving her money for Vibrante.
Kyle’s victory against Audra in France wasn’t complete, however. He kept secret from Claire (Haley Erin) that he had to play a little kissy-kissy with Audra to lull her into a false sense of security. Claire’s been apprehensive about having a future with Kyle as a result. So, in a way, Audra’s plan did work. However, Audra lost out big time, too.
Nate (Sean Dominic) turned on Audra. She came clean and fessed up to what she’d done, but that act of vulnerability didn’t win Nate over. He dumped her. Audra’s lost her gig with Sally (Courtney Hope) as Abbott Communications has stalled indefinitely.
While Audra’s down, she’s not out! We expect to see her emerge as a victor, despite the odds that are against her.
