General Hospital has been more like Mental Hospital for Willow of late. Between the imploding of her marriage to Michael, the loss of her kids, her wedding-day disaster with Drew and the new rift that has opened between her and her mother, it’s been one (bad) thing after another (worse one) for the former cult member. Where does she go from here? Soaps.com asked Katelyn MacMullen exactly that.
What Is Willow’s Next Move?
Pondering her character’s next move, the actress marveled at the steps (and missteps!) that she’s taken thus far. “Even when this first the storyline first started, I had no idea where it was going,” she admitted, “but I think the writers have done such an amazing job of surprising us. So I’m really excited to see where they take it.
“I sort of thought about maybe the mental-health aspect of things Willow has been through” being addressed, she added. “I think would be interesting [to explore that], and I would love to see Willow kind of come to terms with the things that are maybe internal that are driving her behavior. That could be really interesting to explore.”
Paging Dr. Kevin Collins…
Spending some quality time with a shrink could do Willow a world of good. As MacMullen said, “Put her on a therapist’s couch and see what comes to light!
“I think she’s a little lost right now,” she continued, “but it’ll be interesting to see where she ends up going.”
