Lawrence Saint-Victor has responded to a claim that he writes his The Bold & The Beautiful love scenes in order to kiss the show’s actresses. The 42-year-old star, who started acting on the series in 2013 and writing on it in 2015, used X to defend himself against the accusation.

Saint-Victor’s character Carter Walton is currently entangled in a secret romance with Hope Logan — played by Annika Noelle — on the CBS soap opera. When a fan complained about Carter’s storyline in a now-deleted post on X earlier this week, Lawrence responded. He wrote on Monday: ‘I don’t usually respond, but you’re calling my integrity into question. I as a writer, have no control over story or what Carter does or doesn’t do. I’ve seen a few of your ignorant remarks about me. They are insulting.’

Lawrence, who is married to singer-songwriter Shay Saint-Victor, warned, ‘You are free to post what you want, but don’t tag me.’

The father-of-one wrote, ‘Here’s some context about my response to a “fan” yesterday. I was accused of using the power they think I have as a writer to write myself into love scenes so I can kiss all the actresses.

‘That’s an insulting statement, and I wish not to be tagged in comments like those.’

The longtime entertainer added in another post, ‘Thank you all for the love and support,’ and included a red heart emoji.

Lead writer and executive producer Bradley Bell enlisted Saint-Victor to help write scripts for the soap nearly ten years ago.

‘It’s pretty dope,’ Lawrence shared with the publication Woman’s World in September.

He elaborated, ‘I get to work closely with Brad and hear his ideas and his vision, and then work with the writers and write.’

Lawrence started acting on the series in 2013 and began writing on it in 2015

The seasoned performer noted, ‘As an actor, you’re usually the last one to get it, but as part of the writing team, you’re part of creating the thing that they’re doing on set every day. It’s so fulfilling.’

Comparing his two jobs, he reflected, ‘I love the writing, because you’re kind of isolated and in your own space.

‘I am an actor, so I also enjoy being on set and being artistic and collaborative with my fellow artists. When my character is front burner and I am writing, I’m very busy.’

And he noted, ‘I gotta delegate my time, but the writing of the stories also aids me when I’m acting. It all works together.’
