Wednesday, August 27, 2025: Today on Young and Restless, Audra tells Sally about splitting from Nate, Nate tells his cousins about things ending with Audra, and Nick needs Phyllis about Cane.
(This day ahead recap episode airs in the USA on August 27. Expect spoilers! Recaps go live by 4:15 PM EST daily.)
When Sally and Audra go to Crimson Lights, she complains that Nate believes what Claire has accused her of and has disregarded all they have built together.
Spectra is sorry that Nate reacted so harshly. Her friend explains he was more suspicious about her deal with Victor.
She couldn’t figure out how to justify her actions without admitting to the deal she made. Sally is heartbroken for her but urges her to come clean and explain it all so Nate can understand what she did.
Audra wishes it was that simple but Nate would never understand where she was coming from so she walked out on him.
There’s no turning back after the way they left things. She can understand Nate being distrustful but it hurt her.
Seeing how quick he was to blame her was too much. She claims she never would have betrayed him. Hopefully, if he has some space, he will realize how much they mean to each other.
Sally would hate to see her lose him. Since there’s no more to say about that, they talk about the launch party.
Spectra is sure everyone will see they are a force to be reckoned with. The launch will have a retro TV vibe.
Audra thinks it’s strange the company is still called Abbott Communications since Kyle still wants to “crucify” her. It’s unlikely they will let her stay COO.
Sally promises to be her human shield. It will be fine. Audra isn’t so sure.
Nick goes to the park and sees Phyllis leaving an angry message to Cane, begging him to call her back after dropping a bomb on her.
Nick walks over to ask what’s happening with Cane. She tries to downplay it and says her dreams have not been dashed. No one is extinguishing her fire.
He wonders why she’s so upset and wants to help. She doesn’t need his help.
The Newman thinks she should have come to him for a job but she says she never would have taken it. Besides, he never could have promised what cane did.
Nick wonders if Cane has already given up on his big plans and cut her out. She insists she’s an “important cog” and she’s determined to salvage things.
Phyllis says that Cane is just in an emotional place right now and dealing with his kids. That’s because of the Newmans.
Nick claims that’s not their fault. He urges her to cut and run since Cane can’t be trusted. She reminds him he wanted to befriend Cane yesterday.
He hopes she’s not jumping into a fight that Ashby is already bailing on. She doesn’t appreciate him suggesting Cane is some “Svengali” with a hold on her. They are just kindred spirits.
Nick is still worried about her. What if Cane starts the corporate war again and then drops it? She will have nothing.
“I got this. Back off,” Phyllis tells him, walking off.
Billy is surprised when Cane stop by his place. He admires his taste. Billy says when she shows up it’s not usually goods news.
Cane says that depends on where his loyalties are. The Abbott wonders if there is an offer on the table.
Ashby explains he’s changed his mind about going after all the companies in town. Billy doesn’t buy it.
This skepticism isn’t surprising Cane. He claims it’s a fight he knows he’d win but he doesn’t have the battle in him.
Sitting, he explains he needs to put his time and energy into repairing his relationship with his kids. if that’s what this is about, Billy wishes him luck.
Cane tells him to knock himself out if he wants to go after Chancellor. He may be giving that up, but he’s not giving up on Lily.
He told Phyllis but she didn’t take it well. Billy warns he has no idea what he just unleashed. Cane is sure she’ll move on and land on her feet.
This all feels like another lie to Billy. Cane tells him to think what he wants.
He exits as Sally arrives. Billy has no idea what that was all about. Billy isn’t sure, but Cane claimed that he’s pulled a 180 on his plans.
Billy wonders if Cane has set him up so the Newmans will be distracted. Sally says they need to know for sure what he is up to so Abbott Communications can break the story.
They need to know why he might be trying to knock Billy off balance.
Lily and Devon meet Nate at Society and he informs them that he and Audra are officially over. “Wow,” says Lily.
The timing couldn’t be worse. Nate just buried his brother and is getting nowhere consoling Amy. He was on a high for a while but now it’s all gone.
Nate tells them Claire’s accusation that Victor hired Audra to ruin her relationship. They admit they were uncomfortable with the bold way Audra was acting in Nice.
Audra has even lied about walking away from the funding. Making things worse, Audra kissed Kyle when they got back.
They talk about how no one would give her a job other than Victor. Devon worries he’s thinking of letting her off the hook.
Nate isn’t totally certain what happened. Audra insists Kyle has made all this up. He can’t claim to believe it.
The siblings have never trusted Audra of believed she could change, even if she did cry that one time.
Nate admits he wanted them to see what he saw and approve. Maybe that would have helped him ignore the red flags. It looks like they were right about Audra all along.
They offer to support him as he heals. Nate is happy they are all on good footing again.
Cane calls Lily and asks if she’s watched his video. She’s been busy. He suggests she find time to give it a look.
She reminds him it will take time for the kids to come around. He doesn’t think it will take as long as she expects.
Lily jets off. Devon and Nate notice how upset she seems. They go quiet when Audra runs in to grab a food bag and then take off.
Lily goes to the park and watches the video Cane made for the kids, saying how much he loves them and would do anything for them. She chokes up and wipes away a tear.
