Willow has made a mess of her life. It may be time to stop blaming Nina.
Nina may not be the best person on General Hospital, but Willow has been using her as a punching bag for quite some time. Will Nina ever fight back?
Nina’s Daughter
When Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) discovered that Nina (Cynthia Watros) was her long-lost mom, she wanted nothing to do with her. Michael (Rory Gibson) hated Nina for having an affair with Sonny (Maurice Benard) in Nixon Falls, and Willow jumped right on the bandwagon. She refused a relationship with her mother and wouldn’t let her see her grand𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. Nina may have deserved some of that, but the punishment was quite harsh.
Things took a turn for the better when Willow’s mom stood by her during the affair with Drew (Cameron Mathison). Nina defended her daughter when most of Port Charles was against her. Suddenly, Willow had a change of heart and let her mother into her life. The two even became close, but it was always on Willow’s terms. Nina did everything Willow wanted just to maintain a relationship and be allowed into Willow’s life.
Nina’s Walking On Eggshells
Nina was always one step away from losing her daughter, and she knew it. One wrong move would send Willow out the door. Unfortunately for Nina, she made a very wrong move when she kept her relationship with Drew a secret. It would have saved a lot of heartache if Willow had known the truth from the beginning. Now she knows, and of course, went on a rampage.
Nina once again made a big mistake, but the hatred and blame that Willow put on her mother was too much. Her poor choices and Drew worship were not her mother’s fault. Nina did not destroy her life; Willow did that to herself. All of Port Charles tried to warn her, but she was too busy listening to her lying boyfriend. Willow lost her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren all on her own.
It might be time for Nina to fight back and stand up for herself. While it is understandable that she wants a relationship with her daughter, she doesn’t need to be a punching bag to do it. Nina should let Willow try to get out of the mess that she made of her life without her mother’s help.
Willow must realize who has been there to support her unconditionally during all this turmoil that she created. What do you think? Is it time for Nina to draw the line? Let us know in the comments section.
